Extended Views is a film program, in collaboration with the artist-run space Simian.

This collaborative film program includes selections by Laura Langer, whose works are being shown in the solo exhibition titled Why am I me?, and Simian for Iannis Xenakis, whom the presentation La Légende d’Eer in the second exhibition room is dedicated to.
This new iteration explores diverse artistic expressions and practices, unfolding the underlying ideas brought into conversation by the exhibiting artists at Simian. Alongside Laura Langer’s exhibition Why am I me?, films by Jordan Kantor, Taro Izumi, and Mario García Torres reflect on artistic processes such as perception, authorship, humour, and the creation of meaning. In parallel, responding to the exhibition on the artistic legacy of Iannis Xenakis La Légende d’Eer, Simian presents films by Joachim Koester, Sebastián Díaz Morales, and Euan Macdonald, which engage with themes central to Xenakis’ practice, including ritual, loss of bodily control, time and timelessness, sound, materiality, and questions of perception and noise.
